DTD-tools

The DTD-tools package comes in 2 parts. Both parts are XML or SGML compliant.

DTD documentation

The first part is the DTD2HTML tool. Although there are many similar tools at hand, we believe that this tool offers you the most extensive support for your DTD documentation. Especially people who work with modular DTD's and have many different DTD's using the same modules will benefit from this tool. All of the documentation is extracted automatically from the DTD.

Click on the Info button to see the info page per element. This info page is maintained in the DTD and extracted by the DTD documentation tool. Conversion button is not operational in this sample.

DTD expansion

Of course working with modular DTD's is fine for the people who develop and maintain the DTD's. When it comes to distribution of these DTD's one is better off when distribution expanded DTD. And that is what this tool is good at. Creating an expanded DTD and maintaining the catalog file that goes along with the expanded version. It is aware of ISO entities and offers the opportunity to either include those are leave them as separate modules.
